The Heights Linden Square opened in Gladstone, Missouri with an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday to a packed crowd of more than 200 attendees and rave reviews.

“This is an exciting time for the City of Gladstone,” said Mayor Bill Garnos. “Welcome to The Heights.”

With an estimated economic impact of $100 million over the next 20 years, roughly 400 new residents, comprised of young professionals and empty nesters, will come to call The Heights Linden Square home in the coming months and years.

“These new residents will serve to make up a strong urban core in downtown Gladstone, with disposable incomes to support local businesses,” said Flaherty & Collins Properties CEO David Flaherty. “Investing in projects like this not only benefits the residents of The Heights and nearby businesses, but it assists in providing a true identity for the entire community, one that has a ripple effect that resonates throughout Gladstone.”

Chalk full of resort-style amenities, the property boasts over 10,000 square feet of first floor retail that help to create an active, bustling and pedestrian-friendly city center.

“We needed to find ways to encourage people to invest in our community, to keep up with costs and keep our taxes reasonable,” said Gladstone City Manager Kirk Davis.“The Heights Linden Square represents part of a community vision for a downtown Gladstone.”

The ground level of The Heights consists of 40 two-level apartment homes, each with their own attached single car personal garage. Above the two level apartments are two levels of flats. Parking for these units will be surface parking on the interior of the project and an additional 40 single car personal garages. Additional on-street parking is available on three-sides of the property that is available for residents, or the retail space. The average apartment home is 942 square feet.

Community amenities will include a state of the art fitness center, tanning salon, cyber cafe, business center, plus a game and leisure center. A resort style pool, featuring a wet deck, will be located in the center of the community. In addition, residents will enjoy an “Outdoor Living Room,” highlighted by fire pits and commercial grade grills, with accompanying outdoor furniture. Additionally, Google FiberTM broadband service will serve as a major technology component of its mixed-use development, The Heights Linden Square.
