The Depot at Nickel Plate won the Interior Design Merit Award at the 38th Annual Monumental Awards presented by the Indy Chamber last night.
The award, sponsored by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association – Indiana Chapter (IIDA), recognizes achievement in interior design.
The judging criteria included:
- Responsiveness to owner’s requirements
- Functional layout
- Aesthetics (form, style, color, etc.)
- Problem solving
- Creative use of materials and/or furnishing
- Integration of building systems
- Response to project cost issues
- Incorporation of sustainable design techniques, material selection or conservation methods and treatment of environmental issues
- Executing the design concept
- Supports health, safety, and welfare
The Depot at Nickel Plate provides an upscale blend of residential and retail uses in a pedestrian friendly mixed-use development set in the emerging heart of downtown Fishers and 116th Street and Municipal Drive. Winners are selected by an impartial jury of community and professional leaders from the Indianapolis region.
