CLEVELAND HEIGHTS – Flaherty & Collins Properties announces the groundbreaking of “The Marquee at Cedar Lee” in Cleveland Heights, Ohio – what had previously been known as the Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook project.
The $60 million mixed-use, luxury residential apartment development will break ground on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11:00am local time at 2223 Lee Road.
“We’re excited to break ground on what we have named The Marquee,” said Deron Kintner, Vice President of Development and Special Advisor for Flaherty & Collins Properties and lead project developer. “We’re thankful for the tremendous partnership throughout the development of the project and we’re looking forward to welcoming residents to The Marquee.”
The Marquee is Flaherty & Collins Properties second project in Cleveland Heights. Its first project, also developed in partnership with the City of Cleveland Heights, was The Ascent at Top of the Hill. That project broke ground in the summer of 2020 and began leasing up quickly last year.
The Marquee will be a 230,108 square feet mixed-use project, featuring 204 luxury apartment residences and 8,534 square feet of commercial retail space. The parking garage will hold 225 parking garage spaces, with 42 surface lot spaces surrounding the property.
Comprised of studios, and one and two-bedroom apartment homes, The Marquee will be authentic to the area’s rich heritage, stitching together the iconic and modern and the historic Cedar Lee District.
Residents will enjoy a variety of amenities including a resort-style saltwater pool with a wet deck, an amenity courtyard with fire pits, an outdoor sky lounge, grilling stations, pet spa and bark park, a fitness center with studio fitness programming, co-working office suites, and a 24-hour market. Apartments will feature granite and quartz countertops, LED lighting, stainless steel appliances and custom finishes.
The Marquee is anticipated to be completed by the Spring of 2025.
In addition to the public-private partnership with the City of Cleveland Heights, First National Bank of Omaha provided the construction loan on the project. Snavely Group will serve as the general contractor, with City Architecture and Project Management Consultants as additional project partners.
