Flaherty & Collins Expands Footprint with Planned New Kansas City Office, Hiring Local Talent to Support Transformational Development Projects

Flaherty & Collins Properties, a leading development, construction, and property management firm, is deepening its commitment to the Kansas City region—its most active market nationwide—with plans to establish a new office in the heart of the city.

The office will be strategically located within the planned commercial space of Phase I of Parade Park, along 18th Street. F&C will open a temporary office until Parade Park Phase 1 is completed. The company’s completed Kansas City-area developments include Union at Berkley Park, The Yards, The Helm, and The Heights at Linden Square. Other key developments spearheaded by F&C include Jazz Hill and The Bellwether. These initiatives underscore F&C’s dedication to delivering transformative developments that enrich the Kansas City community.

The Bellwether, a $102 million development in Kansas City, MO, will be another Kansas City-area addition to F&C’s portfolio.

“Our work on Jazz Hill and now Parade Park has built a solid foundation for a lasting partnership with Flaherty & Collins,” said Dwayne Williams, President and CEO of Twelfth Street Heritage. “Opening an office in Kansas City shows Flaherty & Collins’ commitment to continue to deliver quality and much-needed housing in Kansas City, and as their partner, furthers the Twelfth Street Heritage mission.”

To support its growing portfolio, F&C is actively recruiting local talent for management, construction, and development roles. With over 15 team members already working daily at various sites, the company plans to expand its Kansas City-area workforce to more than 25, aligning with its strong trajectory in the region. Current region team members include property staff, regional managers, developers, and construction personnel.

“We are thrilled to have Flaherty & Collins become firmly established in Kansas City as they deepen their investment in our community,” said Mayor Quinton Lucas. “Their commitment to creating jobs, revitalizing neighborhoods, and driving transformational development aligns perfectly with our vision for Kansas City’s future. Projects like Parade Park and others not only enhance our cityscape but also provide meaningful opportunities for our residents and businesses to thrive.”

Since 1993, F&C has managed more than 70,000 units total across more than 400 individual properties, including 3,000 units at 10 different properties in the greater Kansas City area. The company plans to continue growing its third-party management business in the Kansas City metro area.

With a proven track record of delivering impactful projects, F&C looks forward to continuing its legacy of transformational developments in Kansas City for years to come.
