The Richmond Common Council met on February 3, 2025, to discuss various donations and grants impacting the community including planned new apartment buildings at the former Elder-Beerman site.
The proposed development, 6Main, is a 150-unit, mixed-use apartment complex located at the intersection of Sixth and East Main streets. Project developer Deron Kintner explained that the development will include 150 luxury apartment homes broken down by 97.5 one-bedrooms, 42 two-bedrooms and 10.5 studios, with the average rent expecting to cost $1,350 a month.
