After more than a decade of planning and investment, RCI Group and Flaherty & Collins are pressing forward with the next chapter of the ambitious Steelpointe Harbor redevelopment in Bridgeport, Conn. What began as a blighted peninsula has transformed into a thriving mixed-use waterfront district, complete with retail, a marina, and maritime businesses.
Now entering its second decade, the project is gaining momentum with the construction of The August, a $200 million, 420-unit apartment community developed with Flaherty & Collins, and a 141-room Residence Inn slated to break ground this fall. With plans for up to 2,000 waterfront apartments developed by Flaherty & Collins over the coming years, Steelpointe Harbor is set to redefine Bridgeport’s skyline and solidify its role as a vibrant place to live, work, and play.
